Prague National Gallery – Veletrzni Palace

Veletrzni Palace is one of great spaces for displays of art in Prague. The functionalist building dates to 1920’s and originally it was hosting trade fairs. Unfortunately the original building was destroyed by fire.  It was repaired and since 1995 it hosts a collection of modern art. You can find here a permanent exhibitions of art from 19th, 20th and 21st century – just to name few: Frantisek Kupka, Egon Schiele, Jakub Schikaneder, Giorgio de Chirico, or Gustav Klimt. It also regularly gives shows of contemporary artists and in the past it hosted international Art Biennale.
