Saratolina in Rybanaruby

Sara Quiroga Navarro (her artistic name Saratolina) was singing with her ‘A Capella Project’ in Rybanaruby club in Vinohrady on December 30th. It was a lovely night with life music created by her magical voice. It is a shame she is going back to France soon so we will not have another chance to see her for a while, at least until she comes to visit Prague again.

Sara describing her new A CAPELLA PROJECT:
Voice, loop station, percussions
A hypnotic and incantatory melting pot of voices, an enchanting trip through afropean melodies, repetitive music, and Chanson Française.

Rybanaruby is a club, a tea-house and a shop near Jiriho z Podebrad in Vinohrady area of Prague 2. Vinohrady is a very international area occupied by Czechs as well as many other nationalities including French, Russian, Spanish, American, English or Scottish, just to name a few. This expat area is very rich in having many lovely cafes, clubs, bars, and restaurants. Especially Jiriho z Podebrad square is a great location since it almost on the edge of Vinohrady and Zizkov. And Zizkov is another great part of town to go out and socialize in many nice and also not so nice but interesting spaces.

Rybanaruby (in English meaning Fish inside out) is a shop where you can buy ethnic musical instruments such as didgeridoo or African djembe drums, art and spiritual craft, new and used books and music. The Rybanaruby club is quite small and you have to go downstairs to the cellar to find it unlike the shop which has entrance directly from Manesova street. Below you will find the tea-house and club. The club frequently hosts artists of many different styles and genres.
